Welcome to Invictus

“I understand my problems, but nothing is changing.” “My therapist is great, but we’ve plateaued.” “Talk therapy isn’t enough.”

If you’ve ever had thoughts like these, you’re not alone. Modern research has transformed our understanding of trauma, revealing that it often resides in the body—not just the mind. This means that while traditional talk therapy can be helpful, it may not be enough to fully resolve trauma symptoms. Effective healing requires an integrated approach that addresses both the mind and body.

At Invictus, we specialize in science-backed, evidence-based treatments that go beyond talk therapy to actively engage the body in the healing process. We’ve seen firsthand how this holistic approach helps people move out of survival mode and into a space of growth and recovery.

If you’re feeling stuck, I invite you to reach out to explore how we can support your healing journey. Change is possible, and we’re here to help you achieve it.

Welcome

Modalities

Invictus employs the latest evidence-based interventions and modalities to ensure that our clients receive personalized and effective treatment.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

A structured, 12 session trauma treatment, CPT uses gradual exposure along with skills training and psychoeducation to reduce or eliminate distressing symptoms.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

A 'gold standard' treatment for trauma, EMDR is an alternative to talk therapy that uses bilateral stimulation to facilitate memory reprocessing and reconsolidation.

Prolonged Exposure (PE)

Exposure-type modalities like PE work to gradually desensitize and reduce distress associated with thoughts, emotions and sensations related to traumatic events.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Effective in treating a range of mental health disorders, IFS encourages an exploration of internal parts through a lens of self-compassion, curiosity and courage.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

TF-CBT is a structured intervention designed for children and adolescents, including educational, skill building and gradual exposure components.

Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)

NET employs the power of storytelling and narrative combined with more traditional exposure-type techniques to deliver a creative yet structured intervention.

Out of the night that covers me

Black as the pit from pole to pole

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the horror of the shade

And yet the menace of the years

Finds and shall find me unafraid

It matters not how strait the gate

How charged with punishments the scroll

I am the mater of my fate

I am the captain of my soul
