Carisa Bishop, LICSW, ACCTS, EMDR-PT is a licensed psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health. A certified trauma specialist and EMDRIA member, Carisa has devoted her career to partnering with clients on their journey of unravelling trauma, understanding emotions, and rewriting stories of pain into ones of possibility. Carisa is an avid learner and has trained with some of the top minds in trauma treatment, including Dr. Bessel van der Kolk of the Trauma Research Foundation, Dr. Eric Gentry of the Trauma Institute International, and neuroscientist Dr. Jennifer Sweeton. Carisa founded Invictus Trauma Center in service of her goal to increase the accessibility of high quality trauma treatment, advocacy and education.
